Experience fly-fishing for Atlantic salmon, the king of sport fish, on the world famous Miramichi River Friday August 14 and Saturday August 15, 2009. The Miramichi River in New Brunswick, Canada, is the largest producer of Atlantic salmon in the world. Fish with skilled guides and stay at a fully serviced fly-fishing lodge that has been in operation for 81 years. One hour away from Fredericton, the facility features 12 private salmon pools available for the exclusive use of Pond's Resort's guests. The restored historic lodge with modern amenities will provide great meals, beverages and comfortable accommodations. This facility supports conservation efforts and all fishing is catch & release only.
Included in the package: Transportation to and from Fredericton, Friday evening and Saturday morning guided fishing in private salmon pools (8 hours total fishing), Friday night supper and lodging and Saturday breakfast and lunch.
Cost: $500 (CDN) per person plus tax (fishing licence, gratuity, and equipment rental are extra).
To guarantee a reserved spot on the river, you must respond to Robert Gareau (email: rgareau@potatoesnb.com) by January 10, 2009. Payment for the fishing trip is required by the conference early registration date of June 15, 2009.
